After I had the documents notarized I went straight to my mother-in-law’s house, Lupe Nevarez; she is my son’s grandmother on his father’s side of the family. Lupe seemed disturbed of the idea and so did the entire family, but this is something that needed to be done. I have no idea what will happen. Only God knows what he holds for each and everyone of us, and I just want to be a responsible parent and be able to sleep at night knowing that my son will be taken care.
The family got upset that I am already thinking of a Last Will and Testament, but the way I see it, life is too short and it can end at any minute; at work, on the street, or shopping for groceries. It may not necessarily be Cancer it can be anything at any given time and we need to be prepared to have the lives of the ones we love know what your wishes are if this cycle of life would happen at any given time. Lets face it we are only eternal after death not on earth; our life is just borrowed to us for a little while, until our day comes to say goodbye. I didn’t make a Last Will and Testament because I am giving up or thinking about death, I did it because I want to be prepared if it ever knocks at my door. Faith is one thing I will never give up!
